Early Birthday: Pentax K2000

From the time that Cedric started walking, it became harder and harder to get good photos of him. He is such an active boy and our camera was very slow to take a picture, 3 seconds with no flash and about 5 seconds with the flash. My boy can be across the house in 3-5 seconds, which means all I get pictures of are body parts or blurs! Since Christmas I have been saying that we needed a new camera and for my birthday Zach agreed the time had come. Because of a family vacation, I actually got the camera early and I could not be more thrilled with it.

The Pentax K2000 is a digital SLR with which we got an 18-55 lens a sort of all-purpose lens as it does wide angle and close up. The camera is very user friendly! The menus are intuitive and straight forward, unlike the Cannon and Nikon models we looked at. It was hard to spend so much money for a camera. Both Zach and I are used to disposables and the point and click variety, but when we got home, I giddily took the camera out of the box and snapped a few pictures. The purchase was completely worthwhile! This is one of the best pictures of gotten of Cedric since he was just a baby.
