We finally got a decent snow (about 5") this winter. Z was able to stay home and since my flash drive is currently locked up in a student computing lab on campus, I was unable to do school work. We were able to spend the day relaxing and enjoying family time and not feel guilty for neglecting work! I played with Ari for a bit in the school parking lot across the street. He is the only dog I've ever had that makes snow angels. It makes me laugh to watch him do it, so I took a little video which I will post at the end of this entry.
After C's nap, we decided a walk at the Botanical Gardens was a good way to enjoy the snow and get some exercise. I started out wearing C in the Ergo baby carrier. I love the Ergo! C is now 30lbs and I can still carry him comfortably in both the front and back positions. But after about 50 minutes of walking this way I was exhausted! Thank goodness the Z wears the Ergo too because he carried C home!

Michael's only 20lbs in the Ergo, and I only do front carries on public transport now (eg I need to sit down or keep him out of the aisle or something). I still back carry for 4-6 hours 2 or 3 times a week. But then later on that evening I get up off the couch and oh man, I can hardly stand up. I'm ok in 5 minutes, but for some reason my difficulty with that initial movement always surprises me.
Great video of Ari but it's time to show more of C. I wondered if you were limiting the use of his name now or just too busy to write it all out?
