Today C turned 1 1/2! I find myself continually marveling at his physical development and personality. What is equally amazing, but not always apparent is his mental development. I find the capacity for what he understands routinely exceeds my expectations. Just this morning he brought me one of the plastic hose attachments from the vacuum and when I told him "No thank you, that's yucky" he obligingly threw in the trash can for me. I had no idea he had already made the association that things that were deemed "yucky" or "dirty" should go in the trash.
His well-baby visit today went well. Here are his latest stats:
weight: 29lbs - 90th percentile
length: 34 inches - 90th percentile
head circ: 49 1/2 cm - 95th percentile
I admit that I was disappointed he did not weight in at 30lbs! Even though he only gained 1 pound since his last visit, he has grown 2 inches. C has recently started "dancing" and clapping exuberantly when he hears music. I have been trying for days to get it on video, but its tricky. He is camera shy about dancing (and making fishy lips, which are my favorite silly face of his) so I've had to be sneaky and always have the camera ready. Hope you enjoy it!
