Pasadena, CA
When my sister-in-law's husband went to Africa Cedric and I decided to fly to Pasadena where they live to break up his long absence. At least that's what I told people. Really I just love Pasadena! Its such a fun and beautiful little city. We spent a week with Steph and Eden visiting Kidspace, The Huntington Gardens, walking around Paseo Colorado, Lacey Park.
One of the best things about Pasadena is the food. This could also be because my own love of food runs straight to my soul but in my opinion we sampled some of the finest confections at Pinkberry, Leonidas Fresh Belgian Chocolates, Dots Cupcakes, and my new favorite love Beard Papa's. I think I may have to spend some time learning to make cream puffs...
On our last day Shanelle drove us to Malibu Beach, right down the road from Pepperdine University. It was a beautiful day, the water and sand seemed just right and I thought for sure that Cedric start to cultivate a love for the sea like me. Sadly, he did not like the feel of sand and the first time he felt the water pull sand from beneath his feet he wanted to be back on the beach towel under the umbrella!
Here are some of the 400+ pictures I took during the trip!
